2nd Thane District Interclub Tournament 2016 was played between 9 July to 10 July, 2016. Fr. Agnel performed best to win 2 Golds and 1 Silver. Boosters Club followed them winning 1 Gold and 3 Bronze. Tournament saw good participation with 27 Team Entries from Thane District Clubs, though the venue was little bit away along with lots of rain. The event was played in 3 Groups as MD & CAD, SJ & JR and YOUTH & SR. Many Clubs sent multiple entries for each group.

First day was of group matches. All Teams were divided in 3 or 4 groups and played stage 1 as Round Robin. Top teams qualified for Semis and then Finals were played.

Fr. Agnel Club and Royal Table Tennis Academy of Ambarnath won their Semi Finals in MD & CAD Group and appeared for Final. The Final match was very interesting and went into desider match. Finally Fr. Agnel Club won the desider match and take away the Trophy (3-2). Royal TTA has to settle with Silver 2nd time in this year. Booster Club took on with Pinnacle and beat them 3-0 to take the 3rd position.

In SJ & JR Group again Fr. Agnel clinch the Gold easily with score 3-0. Officer A team won the Silver and Boosters Club A Team was on 3rd place in interesting match with JSW team with score 3-2.

For YOUTH & SR Group, Gold was won by Boosters Club A team with score 3-1. Fr. Agnel Club was at second place with Silver and again Boosters Club C team beat JSW team easily 3-0 to take away 3rd position.

All winner teams won cash prizes all together of Rs. 41,000/-
